♬		DECEMBER 2025: Another year, another fabulous EMS Christmas celebration. Including Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols, The Wexford Carol - featuring our good friend Simon Thorpe, Rutter's Christmas Lullaby, and Chilcott's Christmastide, along with many favourites for our loyal audience to sing with us. Happy Christmas - we're back in January!

♬		NOVEMBER 2025: Huge thanks to Trianon Music Group for their part in a very enjoyable concert from the Light Side of the repertoire. We haven't held a joint concert for a long time, so they kept us on our toes. Good luck to them in the future in Suffolk and beyond.

♬		SEPTEMBER 2025: Rehearsals under way for a joint concert with the touring Trianon Music Group, coming to Kent from Ipswich. This will be an autumnal assemblage, from the more popular end of our sonic spectrum; a cross-cultural choral collaboration featuring tribal tunes showstoppers, nostalgic numbers and some far-flung folksong. Something for everyone!

♬		JULY 2025: A thoroughly enjoyable rendition of Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, thanks not only to our professional soloists, but also the transformation of some EMS members into witches, sorcerers, spirits and sailors! Very well done, all.

♬		MAY 2025: Rehearsals going well as we begin to familiarise ourselves with the Summer repertoire: John Farmer, Thomas Morley, John Bennet and Henry VIII (possibly); with Henry Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, of course.

♬		JANUARY 2025: Our presentation of Mendelssohn's Elijah in April was very generously supported by a grant from the Kent Community Foun dation, allowing young, student musicians the opportunity to play alongside and learn from professionals, accompanying our large four-part choir.

♬		DECEMBER 2024: A very well-attended Christmas concert, with audience particularly impressed with the ancient Quechua tongue-twister we got just right in the end, thanks to Ciara! Now a rest before we start work on Elijah...

♬		OCTOBER 2024: A grand effort from one and all in our latest presentation of Mozart's Requiem, supported by Nicola Corbishley (soprano), Elizabeth Green (mezzo), Brian Smith Walters (tenor) and Simon Thorpe (bass).

♬		OCTOBER 2023: An absolutely fantastic day with 150 singers under the direction of Howard Goodall, guiding us through his “Eternal Light: A Requiem”.



		East Malling Singers is a friendly, mixed-voice, amateur choir of approximately 80 members that performs a very wide variety of sacred and secular music. Usually we perform four concerts per year at St James the Great Church, East Malling and are often joined by professional soloists and orchestra, as well as guest singers. We always welcome new members. You do not have to be able to sight-read music, although it helps, nor do you have to come to every rehearsal, and practising with a CD or online recording between rehearsals is also useful. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings during term time, at St James the Great Church, where our concerts are also held.
