		Our next sing - Saturday 19th July: Purcell – Dido & Aeneas Early English music from Dowland, Tallis, Byrd and more

♬		MAY 2025: Rehearsals going well as we begin to familiarise ourselves with the Summer repertoire: John Farmer, Thomas Morley, John Bennet and Henry VIII (possibly); with Henry Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, of course.

♬		JANUARY 2025: Our presentation of Mendelssohn's Elijah in April was very generously supported by a grant from the Kent Community Foun dation, allowing young, student musicians the opportunity to play alongside and learn from professionals, accompanying our large four-part choir.

♬		DECEMBER 2024: A very well-attended Christmas concert, with audience particularly impressed with the ancient Quechua tongue-twister we got just right in the end, thanks to Ciara! Now a rest before we start work on Elijah...

♬		OCTOBER 2024: A grand effort from one and all in our latest presentation of Mozart's Requiem, supported by Nicola Corbishley (soprano), Elizabeth Green (mezzo), Brian Smith Walters (tenor) and Simon Thorpe (bass).

♬		JULY 2024: A hugely enjoyable concert, to a full house, supported by old friends Innominata and our soloist, Karen Hill.

♬		MARCH 2024: Final reherasals and preparations for our Beethoven concert on Saturday 23rd March, featuring soloists Nicola Corbishley, Rachael Lloyd, Tom Robson and Simon Thorpe, and an orchestra led by Alice Hall. This really will be a fantastic show!

♬		OCTOBER 2023: An absolutely fantastic day with 150 singers under the direction of Howard Goodall, guiding us through his “Eternal Light: A Requiem”.



		East Malling Singers is a friendly, mixed-voice, amateur choir of approximately 80 members that performs a very wide variety of sacred and secular music. Usually we perform four concerts per year at St James the Great Church, East Malling and are often joined by professional soloists and orchestra, as well as guest singers. We always welcome new members. You do not have to be able to sight-read music, although it helps, nor do you have to come to every rehearsal, and practising with a CD or online recording between rehearsals is also useful. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings during term time, at St James the Great Church, where our concerts are also held.
