LATEST EMS NEWS:
JUNE 2022: Two weeks left until a long-awaited 50th Season Gala Concert - rehearsals are going very well and we have a fantastic program for you. Rutter's Gloria, a brilliant arrangement of Parry's Jerusalem and Vauaghan Williams' Hymn of Freedom. The celebration will open with Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man.

April 2022: The Brahms German Requiem was a very intense work to get right, but we put on a good show, helped along by our guest singers - thank you very much for joining. Despite a virus-decimated choir and audience, the whole thing came together fantastically, with huge thanks to our soloists Simon Thorpe and Nicola Corbishley, the orchestra, Nick Bland and of course Ciara Considine for moulding everything together.

December 2021:Bob Chilcott "Christmas Oratorio" was our first concert for two years and it was fantastic to to back with an audience. Thank you to all those who were able to get your hands on the restricted tickets. Next year, mince pies and mulled wine - we hope...
East Malling Singers is a friendly, mixed-voice, amateur choir of approximately 80 members that performs a very wide variety of sacred and secular music. Usually we perform four concerts per year at St James the Great Church, East Malling and are often joined by professional soloists and orchestra, as well as guest singers.

We always welcome new members. You do not have to be able to sight-read music, although it helps, nor do you have to come to every rehearsal, and practising with a CD or online recording between rehearsals is also useful. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings during term time, at St James the Great Church, where our concerts are also held. Please ask the Membership Secretary on 01622 675592 or Contact Us for more details of how to join us.
